Be a servant. We are called to know God with our head, love God with our heart, and serve God with our hands – and there are numerous ways to step into service at Manchester UMC and to make a difference for Christ in the world.
To serve Christ and one another means to make a faith-filled commitment to better the lives of others and to radiate the love of God through you humble and heart-felt words and actions. It’s more than just volunteering. It’s serving.
How can you take a step (or the next step – if you’re already involved) in servant ministries?
Get started by thinking about the following questions:
What energizes you? Consider what you are passionate about. For example, is it assisting the elderly, children, or those in need?... What peaks your interest? Are you happiest working behind the scenes or “upfront?”
Then find the place (or places) where your passions meet a need in the congregation, the community, or beyond!
