Manchester UMC is proud to present this world-renowned ensemble! Since their first tour in 1891, under the direction of John Philip Sousa, this concert band has toured the far-reaching corners of our country!
“The President’s Own” United States Marine Band will tour from Washington, D.C., to Washington State, performing free, public concert.
Since 17th Director John Philip Sousa was first granted permission to tour the country by President Benjamin Harrison in 1891, the Marine Band has delivered a White House experience from Washington, D.C., to the far-reaching corners of our nation. These special concerts have now grown into an experience shared across generations of Americans as well as a cherished tradition for families, veterans and music-lovers alike.
Marine Band Director Lt. Col. Ryan Nowlin has programmed musical selections in the style of Sousa: Concertgoers can expect a mix of works including traditional band repertoire, Sousa marches, contemporary compositions, vocal and instrumental solos and a patriotic salute to the Armed Forces.
This is a free concert, but reserved tickets are needed.

Please arrive and be seated NO LATER than 7:15 pm.
No large bags or backpacks will be allowed in the venue. If tickets are “SOLD OUT,” we highly encourage you to utilize the standby line. Typically, patrons without tickets are still able to get into the concert when vacant seats are made available 15 minutes before the performance.
