2022 Internship Program

Program Overview

Internship Opportunities:

  • Children and Families Department (1 to 2 interns)
  • Youth Department (1 intern)

Hours:

  • 4 to 10 hours per week (schedule flexible)

Program Description:

Manchester UMC has been awarded grants for the purpose of offering paid internships at the church for college-age and young-adult individuals. An internship at Manchester UMC is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world experience in a Christian setting. Interns receive training, mentoring, theological education, and the opportunity to participate in group activities as they engage in hands-on projects.

Program Expectations:

  • Connect with internship supervisor (1x per week)
  • Meet with intern group (1x per quarter)
  • Meet with Manchester UMC Pastors (1 per month)
  • Complete assigned projects/tasks within agreed upon time
  • Ask questions, offer ideas, and support the mission of the church
  • Complete assigned reading and write reflections (over course of internship)
  • Complete onboarding activities and exit interview (beginning and end of internship)
