Modern Worship Ministry

The mission and vision or the Modern Worship Ministry is to honor God by building up a community of people who desire to authentically live life in a way that elevates God, embraces others, and grows us closer to the heart of Christ. In Modern Worship, we worship using contemporary language and teaching, modern music styles, with various art and media to tell the story of God in fresh and engaging ways that captivate our hearts, and build up the Body of Christ.

Modern Worship FAQs
How does worship in Fellowship Hall help to facilitate that vision?

Space matters. Experiencing Modern Worship in Fellowship Hall helps us create an atmosphere that is casual and inviting, feels comfortable and connects our community.

Why not continue to hold Modern Worship in the sanctuary?

There are three distinct worship services at Manchester UMC, each helping our congregation connect to God in unique ways. The Modern Worship service fits more in size and style to meeting in Fellowship Hall. The services in Fellowship Hall have a renewed energy, creating more engaging interactions between folks, that better connect the community.

What is the future of Modern Worship in Fellowship Hall?

As more and more new families join the congregation expressing appreciation for a friendly and welcoming community, we imagine a modern and non-threatening worship space that supports the vision to build up the Body of Christ. Future plans to update the flooring, staging, lights and seating will continue to elevate our worship time together.
