Manchester UMC’s – 2018 Vacation Bible School

Rolling River Rampage

Registration Opens March 18th

Keep Calm and Raft On! Kids age 4 by July 31st, 2018 (and potty-trained) through 5th Grade (Fall 2018) are invited on a white water rafting adventure to experience the ride of a lifetime with God during this year’s Rolling River Rampage VBS! Through Bible stories, music, games, science, crafts, and our annual service project, students will learn that God’s Rafters can find ADVENTURE, ACCEPTANCE, JOY, REST, and PEACE on the river! Watch the church come alive as it is transformed into Rolling River Rampage. Our Rafters will discover that life with God is an adventure full of wonder and surprise, and that they can trust God to be with them through anything!

Rolling River Rampage VBS is…

Evening: Sun., June 24th – Thurs., June 28th from 5:30 pm – 8:15 pm

OR

Daytime: Mon., June 25th – Fri., June 29th from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 am.

Registration opens Sunday, March 18th and is $25 per child/$50 per family max, which includes all materials, a t-shirt for every child and a VBS Music CD for each family!

Deadline for registration is Sunday, June 3rd; late registration is available from June 4th -17th for $35 per child/$70 per family max. For more information, contact Chessey Brenton, Director of Children and Family Ministries.

Mini-VBS Program

We have a special opportunity for our friends who turn 3 by July 31, 2018, are potty-trained, AND whose parent(s) volunteer during the entire week of VBS (preferably Safe Sanctuary trained). They will get to experience our Rolling River Rampage Mini-VBS as they experience the ride of a lifetime with God through special programming specifically designed for our little Stars. You can register your child for Mini-VBS when you complete the Adult Volunteer Registration form online. Mini-VBS will be available during both the daytime and evening programs.

ROLLING RIVER RAMPAGE NEEDS YOU!

Please join us as we experience the ride of a lifetime with God and our Rafters (VBS kiddos) at the Rolling River Rampage VBS in 2018. This is a great opportunity for you to get involved with the children here at Manchester UMC. We are looking for VBS “Guides” (teachers) to lead our “Rafters” (children) during both the evening (Sunday, June 24th – Thursday, June 28th: 5:30-8:15pm) and daytime (Monday, June 25th – Friday, June 29th: 8:30-11:30 a.m.) programs.

As a “Guide”, you will be facilitating the kids as they travel to different activities throughout the day. All of the lessons, crafts, music, games, science projects, etc. have already been planned. Your key role will be to move the children from place to place, support their learning activities, and have fun!

In addition, we are looking for “Station Leaders” that will lead many of the different stations we have available to our students. Some of the stations include music, science, crafts, bible stories, and missions. You will work with a team of people to help create the best possible learning experience for our students that help encourage them along their faith journeys.

Please prayerfully consider accepting one of these roles for our summer VBS program this year. We really do need you! You will be helping to support Christian learning for our young members and will receive bountiful blessings in return.

All serving with children at VBS need to be Safe Sanctuary trained. If you have questions about this process or serving at the 2018 Rolling River Rampage VBS, please visit our website or contact Chessey Brenton, Director of Children and Family Ministries.
