“A Dusty Lent” will explore the implications of dying well from a Christian perspective. We will address various topics, including the nature of grief, the role of ministry during end-of-life care, funeral planning, estate planning, and the concept of leaving a lasting legacy. Additionally, we will delve into the theological understanding of what occurs after death.

The pastors will be referencing the following books; however, they are not required readings for this class.

  • Dessert First: Preparing for Death while Savoring Life by J. Dana Trent
  • Everything Happens for a Reason: And Other Lies I’ve Loved by Kate Bowler
