How is it that St. Louis has earned the reputation of being the “best baseball town” in America?  This is the story of the unique role baseball has played in St. Louis and that which St. Louis has played in the world of baseball. It is a very rich history. But it is not just a story of the Major League’s Browns and Cardinals or the great teams of the Negro Leagues. It’s the story of how baseball is intertwined within the city’s culture.
