Rev. Brenda Stobbe

Welcome Pastor Brenda!

Manchester UMC is excited to welcome Rev. Brenda Stobbe as the next Director of Children and Family Ministries for Manchester UMC.

As previously shared, our beloved Chessey Brenton will be leaving her role this month to spend more time with her family. Knowing this, a team of parents, volunteers, staff, and clergy have collaborated to identify and interview candidates for this position. After multiple interviews along with much conversation, prayer, and discernment, Pastor Brenda was selected.

Brenda brings years of ministry experience and innovation in children and family programming. She is an ordained Deacon in The United Methodist Church who has previously held this role at Manchester UMC. Brenda is also the creator of the Good Shepherd curriculum used in our children’s Sunday School program.

NEXT STEPS

Pastor Brenda will begin her role at Manchester UMC on January 1, 2023. In the meantime, Chessey and Brenda are working together to ensure a smooth transition.

In the coming months, there will be opportunities for you to get to know Pastor Brenda. She is eager to meet the children, families and volunteers of Manchester UMC, and to partner with you in teaching young people about the unconditional love and grace of God.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Rev. Andy Bryan or Rev. Jim Peich

The Church is Just a Building
