Call to Action: Impact for those Unhoused

Date:  Sunday, July 12, 2026
Time:  12:15-2:00 p.m.
Location:
Fellowship Hall | Manchester UMC
Leader:  Rev. Dr. Mary Beth Hartenstein

The Mission Team is hosting a call to action meeting to discuss how we can make an impact for those who are unhoused. After an informative meeting about this subject in early May, this follow-up meeting will offer a conversation with P. D. Van Klaveren, Fifth Street Renaissance Peer Recovery Specialist; Severin Pelekara, Executive Director, inExcelsis Inc; and Trish Gunby, member of the MUMC Social Justice Team.

From collecting items for the clients these agencies serve to writing to our government officials to advocate for solutions to the challenges these individuals and families face, putting our faith into action in tangible ways helps us live out our calling of loving God and neighbor.

Please join us for this 60-minute program, with a lite lunch being served. There is no fee for this event; registration is required. Please indicate how many people you are bringing so we have enough tables and chairs for everyone.

RSVP by Sunday, July 5!
