Lent Studies:
- From Feb. 23-March 30, please join the Alpha Class as they study the book, Evicted Poverty and Profit in the American City by Matthew Desmond. Along with the book’s compelling stories of people experiencing eviction, we will learn what eviction looks like in St. Louis. We will study this complex issue through reading, statistics, discussion and a simulation game. Finally, we will reflect on how the Bible calls us to respond.
- April 6 – May 18 – Lent Study – “The Message of Jesus: Words That Changed the World” by Rev. Adam Hamilton.
Description: The study prompts serious reflection regarding who Christ expects Christians to be in relation to people around us. It is a very good foundation for understanding the scriptural basis of the Social Justice Principles of our denomination.
Book is available for sale for $15 by emailing Tiffany Conway.
