Description: Lydia Circle is a group of women who meet to celebrate their desire to serve Christ by caring for others, social justice, prayers, fellowship, Bible study, health and fitness and enhancing our spirituality through a monthly program addressing these areas.
Lydia Circle is open to all women with an occasional meeting which might interest men as well. Newcomers are always welcome!
Join us on:
- September 3 – Getting to know You! Andy Langdon, Director of Youth Ministries, will enlighten us on his background and what the youth are doing at MUMC. Then we will again take the opportunity to get to know each other.
- October 1 – Jim Vail, a member of the Manchester UMC Historical Committee, will give us a background of the Chapel as part of MUMC’s 200 year history.
- December 3 – Rev. Dave Bennett will tell us about the City of Manchester’s program titled ‘Manchester Cares’ and he will lead us in a sing along with his guitar. Then we will bring a dish to share at our Casserole Christmas lunch
- January 7 – Wear your comfy clothes and either join in or watch as Genny Schumacher, a Manchester UMC member and exercise leader, will lead us in some fun and helpful Chair Exercises.
- February 4 – Austin Shariff, Director of Modern Worship Arts, will talk about his background, Modern Worship and his outside musical activities. Then we will enjoy hearing his musical talent.
- March 4 – Do you wonder about the Symbols and Colors used in the church. Linda Schultz, one of our own, will reveal the background and history of these.
- April 1 – The Bike Rehab Ministry has continued to make great strides with bicycles that have been repaired and donated to people who need them. Rev. Nancy Wilson, has been volunteering in this ministry for many years and will let us know what the Bike Rehab and MOHAB Ministries have been doing.
- May 6 – Lydia Circle Spring Luncheon will be catered and Barb Kay will impersonate one of our women in history. You will have the opportunity to vote on which person you would like her to impersonate.
