Description: Pick me. Love me. Choose me. These words are taken from an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. The character, Meredith, confronts her lover, Derek, with these words. She wants to know she is the one, that she is loved.
When was the last time you said those words to yourself as you looked in the mirror? Pick me. Love me. Choose me. Loving ourselves with all of the flaws we see, all of the disappointments we face, all of the challenges that mount up can be difficult. Life can be messy … very messy.
We will be studying the book, “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brene Brown. This author invites each of us to “let go of who [we] think [we’re] supposed to be and embrace who [we] are.” Through her research and writing, she helps us embrace our own story, our own humanity, our own belovedness.
Come and join this book study and learn that “owning our story and loving ourselves through this process is the bravest thing that we can do.”
