No class on Feb. 7
Time:  4:45 – 5:45p
Location:  Room 222 | Manchester UMC
Leaders:  Dr. Steven Kidd and Dr. Anne Kidd

Description:  Some kind of mental health challenge will affect one in four people at one or another point in their lives. However, a lack of understanding and stigma surrounding mental health experiences can prevent faith communities from knowing how to respond compassionately and effectively.

The Sanctuary Course is a small-group resource designed to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and offer an opportunity for meaningful conversation about mental health and faith. Each of the 8 sessions examines a key mental health topic. The films that accompany each topic feature an individual with lived experience and includes insights from mental health professionals, church leaders, and theologians.

Dr. Steven Kidd is a Psychologist, and his wife, Dr. Anne Kidd is a Social Worker.
