How the Bible Actually Works
Date:Â Sundays, September 7 – April 26, 2026
No class on Dec. 13, 20 and 27
Time: 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Location:Â Room 226 | Manchester UMC
Leader:Â Rev. Brenda Becker and Cathleen Callahan
Description:Â As we open the Bible and begin reading, it quickly becomes clear how deeply embedded the Bible is in a distant and foreign world. And if you are reading the Bible to determine how to live a life of faith, you will realize the Bible doesn’t hand out easy answers to that search. What then, is the Bible’s true purpose? That is what we will discuss in this Sunday School class. We will embrace how the Bible challenges us, invites us to risk, to venture forth beyond what is familiar, to look past the words on the page to seek what God is up to right here and now, and encourages and helps us to step out and find God for ourselves.
