How Do We Negotiate Difficult Times?

If you start reading the very first page of the Bible, you will discover that God intended human beings to live in a Paradise.  But by the third chapter, all of God’s plan literally goes to Hell because the first humans listened to a talking snake. From that moment, Paradise was no longer an option.  We might have some deep longing for Paradise, but while we are alive, we must live our lives somewhere else that is anything but perfect. The challenge before us now is, how do we negotiate difficult times? To get ready for Sunday’s sermon, read Matthew 14:22-33.  It a story of a peaceful boat ride gone bad.  We will use this passage of Scripture to understand how God works to help us through chaotic times. Hope to see you in church–and bring a friend.
