About the Young Adult Ministry

Here at Manchester, we know that different age groups have different needs.  Our young adult ministries provide opportunities to connect to individuals between the ages of 18 and 40.

No matter where you are on your faith journey, life path, or location in life, you are welcome here. Some of us are college-aged, some are young singles, and some are part of young families. In fact, many of us fall into more than one of these categories.  We live across the St. Louis area and together we have fun, laugh, cry and support each other in this journey of life.

We believe that life is better when we’re connected with other people in community. These experiences are fun, safe, encouraging and located across the St. Louis area. No matter who you are, there is room for you at the table.

The Young Adult Ministry offers a variety of events, learning opportunities, and campaigns throughout the year. Please check back on this website frequently for more upcoming young adult events, classes and more!

Here are some ways to get plugged into Manchester UMC’s community as a young adult.

NO Hate Yard Signs

Manchester UMC is offering yard signs featuring the above image for display at the homes of those who wish to take a stand against hate in our communities. These vibrant signs are one-sided and made with corrugated plastic to withstand wind and rain and come with a metal sign holder for placing in your yard.

Rainbow Stoles

We wear rainbows to call attention to our welcoming stance and to show solidarity with the LGBTQIA+ community. This Pride symbol is a visual sign of a commitment to justice in the areas of gender and sexuality

Pastor's Note

Have you ever felt like this?

by Rev. Andy Blacksher, Executive Pastor Simon Peter, Thomas (called Didymus), Nathanael from Cana in Galilee, Zebedee’s sons, and two other disciples were together.  Simon Peter told them, “I’m going fishing.” They said, “We’ll go with you.” They set out in a boat, but throughout the night they caught nothing.
